Prevention and Treatment of Business Problems

Aims :

  • To evaluate the efficacity of legal tools for detecting, preventing and treating the problems facing businesses via a three-pronged qualitative, quantitative and comparative approach
  • To examine the possibilities for improving some of these tools
  •  To research and analyse theoretical and pracical problems

Actions :

  • Selecting a theme (very small firms, obstacles to credit, debt collection, responsibility within groups) and analysing the theme retained in internal law and comparative law
  • Examining the advantages and disavantages of the internal legal tools used
  • Studying the solutions implemented in other countries and analysing them

Aims :

  • To play a part in intensifying research and training actions
  • To host international teaching researchers on our courses
  • To support the development of knowledge on entrepreneurial support

  • Creating an observatory for the researcher entrepreneurs
  • Assessing accompaniment
  • Managing two Masters: Master’s Entrepreneurial Support and Master SME
  • Providing short training courses for business creators and accompaniers
  • Organising events with the main economic and social actors in the sector
  • Presenting the tools and methods at conferences or in publications

Aims :

  • To provide the specific means to increase research at the national and international level, and to encourage its promotion in both the teaching and the professional world
  • To present the knowledge acquired and results of the research

  • To back teaching of the research and encourage the “actionnability” of the research

Actions :

  • Presenting the knowledge acquired and results of the research at renowned international conferences
  • Organising scientific events
  • Publishing the research in the most reputable national and international journals
  • Encouraging academic exchanges (visiting professors)
  • Providing and developing teaching at the undergraduate, Bachelor’s, Master’s and MBA levels
  • Promoting links between research and key economic players by organising events to promote the research

Corporate Social Responsibility and the Labor World

Aims :

  • To intensify the research and training actions focusing on entrepreneurial support
  • To develop partnerships with main actors specialising in support at the national, regional and local levels
  • To show the importance of a study of this phenomenon wich brings deeply into question the modes of establishing socila law and its application in the context of the internationalisation of exchanges and business installations

Actions :

  • Welcoming internationnaly-recognised teaching researchers
  • Simulteneously identifying business practices in terms of CSR from the point of view of comparative law and standardised texts of internal or international origin applying to this corporate policy
  • Providing new methods and tools for professionals in the field of entrepreneurial support
  • Offering businesses practical and methodological tools for implementing a CSR policy
  • Facilitating relations with support structures by making it possible to develop short training courses, for entrepreneurs or accompaniers, or organising meetings

Aims :

  • To bring the questions of public health into the field of SMEs
  • To bring academic recognition to this Chair with its considerable social and societal utility
  • To rapidly set up an international network of researchers on this theme
  • To create the foundations for entrepreneurial workplace medicine
  • To publish regularly and with both precision and rigour, medical statistics concerning the owners of SMEs

Actions :

  • Leading an epidemiological study of the health of business owners
  • Publishing statistics on directorship of SMEs
  • Organising conferences on a regular basis

Responsible Management and Entrepreneurship (RME)

Aims :

  • To reinforce the links berween research, training and professional practices in the field of responsible management and entrepreneurship
  • To enhance the attractiveness of the Montpellier Pole
  • To promote the values of entrepreneurship and responsible managerial practices through research and devlopment of innovative concepts, methods and management tools

Actions :

  • Setting up a complete research program combining several fields of observation and analysis axes
  • Producing new knowledge on emerging dynamics in the fields of alternative management, globalised networks, the public sector and health management
  • Implementing a training and education policy based on new modules and curses within the Master program in Management of Organisations and Responsible Devleopment and other management diplomas based in institutions in Montpellier and elsewher in France and Europe
  • Promoting scientific networks through University-Business meetings and partnerships with enterprises and alternatives organisations such as cooperatives and NGOs
